For Writers:

LineUp seeks new playwrights

LineUp is a bi-monthly new writing event produced by Vertical Line Theatre at Greenwich Theatre. LineUp celebrates new writing by giving writers a chance to try out their work through collaboration with Vertical Line Theatre. We will provide directors, actors, rehearsal space and a 400 seat theatre... We just need your plays!

Here is some praise for the first LineUp Event that took place on Monday 4th February:

'...the entire evening buzzed with electricity.' **** Sarah Milton, The Upcoming

'I don’t remember ever seeing a scratch night without a dud...a great opportunity for casting directors and emerging producers to see 22 actors who have been auditioned and gathered for their skill with new work' Chris Grady, What's On Stage

‘...LineUp goes down a treat.’ Everything Theatre

We are looking for six playwrights to submit ten minute extracts of full length plays to be tried and tested on the Greenwich stage. The extracts will be showcased to an audience as part of a diverse evening celebrating new writing. This is a chance to showcase your work on a London stage with access to a pool of emerging creative talent with the possibility of working with Vertical Line Theatre to further develop your work in the future.

To submit a play please email a PDF to steph@verticallinetheatre.co.uk by 5pm on Friday 22nd February
